Independent review · 27 July 2026
DHH Med Spa has genuinely earned its reputation — Best Botox in the Valley three times, RealSelf's Most Loved Injector twice, 350+ five-star reviews, and a Medical Director in Megan Davies, FNP-BC, CANS, with the credentials to back it up. The live site at dhhmedspa.com is not "broken" — it loads, it books, it lists real treatments. But it also carries the heaviest homepage we've measured across this audit series, opens with a discount popup before a visitor reads a word, and hands booking off to a third-party widget at the exact moment intent peaks. This report states what we measured, what it means in plain language, and what it costs — without guessing numbers we cannot verify from outside.
Before any design conversation, these are the facts — stated plainly, with what we could verify from outside and what needs your Search Console access to confirm exactly.
| Question | What we found | How we know |
|---|---|---|
| Is the site working for patients? | It loads and the brand comes through — but the homepage transfers roughly 12.7 MB, the heaviest we've sampled in this audit series. On a phone in Scottsdale heat, waiting for that many resources costs patients before they ever reach the treatment list. | Live site review · resource sampling, Jul 2026 |
| Can patients book easily? | Booking hands off to a Boulevard widget at joinblvd.com — a separate domain, a separate style, a separate load, right at the moment a ready-to-book patient is most likely to hesitate. That's a real, capable booking platform; it just shouldn't be the last thing a patient sees before your name disappears from the address bar. | Live site navigation · booking flow review |
| Is Beauty Bank membership working as hard as it should? | Beauty Bank ($129/mo) and Lux ($229/mo) are real, valuable memberships — but nowhere on the site can a visitor plug in a treatment cost and see the banked credit and discount calculated for them. The math that would sell the membership is left for the patient to do themselves, or ask the front desk. | Site structure review · membership page audit |
| How much non-brand search are you winning? | We cannot see your analytics without access. Commercial searches for Scottsdale Botox, filler and Emsculpt terms are competitive — thin treatment copy and a brochure-style hero make it hard for Google or AI assistants to quote you as the answer, even with three "Best Botox in the Valley" wins behind you. | Live SERP sampling · needs Search Console for exact traffic |
Patients who already know DHH, follow @dhhmedspa, or were referred by a friend will still book. Everyone searching "Botox Scottsdale" or asking an AI assistant which med spa to trust is meeting a competitor whose website answers the question first, shows the membership math up front, and lets them finish booking without leaving the page. Your awards are the strongest trust signal in this market — the homepage currently buries them below a generic hero instead of leading with them.
Sample searches a Scottsdale patient would type. Exact positions fluctuate — this is a snapshot, not a guarantee. Brand searches for DHH perform; commercial treatment terms are where revenue leaks.
| Search term | Type | DHH Med Spa | Who is winning instead |
|---|---|---|---|
| botox scottsdale | Primary | Weak / not prominent | Practices with dedicated Botox landing pages + pricing transparency |
| med spa scottsdale az | Primary | Not in top results | Larger multi-location spas with heavier content depth |
| emsculpt neo scottsdale | Primary | Not found | Body contouring specialists with device-specific FAQ content |
| best botox in scottsdale | Secondary | Opportunity | Your three AZ Foothills wins are winnable content — currently underused |
| medical weight loss scottsdale | Secondary | Not prominent | Weight-loss clinics with dedicated semaglutide/tirzepatide pages |
| ultherapy scottsdale az | Secondary | Opportunity | Few dedicated pages — winnable with a proper device page |
| dhh med spa | Brand | Found | You own the name — but homepage meta undersells the practice |
Every patient who searched for a Scottsdale Botox provider or a body contouring option this month and did not already know your name found someone else first. The practice that gets found sets the price anchor. Megan's CANS certification and DHH's award history deserve to show up before a referral is needed, not only after.
Sampled July 2026, the dhhmedspa.com homepage transfers close to 12.7 MB of assets on first load — well above the 3–5 MB we typically flag as heavy for a med spa site. On mobile data or a slower connection, that's a slow, sometimes stuttering first impression for a practice with three Botox awards to its name.
Modern static-first build, WebP images, no bloated plugin stack. Target 90+ mobile PageSpeed and under 500 KB first load. This preview homepage is under 120 KB before optimized photography.
The current site opens with a modal offering $50 off (minimum $300) before the patient has scrolled, read the hero, or seen a single treatment. It's a real, valuable offer — undercut by being forced on every new visitor as the very first interaction, which reads as aggressive rather than generous.

Same $50 offer, placed in the hero bullets and booking flow where a patient already wants it — see the homepage hero in this preview. No forced interrupt before the page has said anything.
The current booking flow hands off to joinblvd.com — a capable platform, but a different domain, different styling and a fresh page load exactly where a ready-to-book patient is most likely to abandon. Every redirect at peak intent is a chance to lose the booking.
Four-step wizard on your domain: Treatment → Date → Time → Details. Live availability, instant confirmation, zero redirect — see book.html in this preview.
$129/mo and $229/mo are real prices with real value behind them — $150–$260 in banked credit plus a member discount. But nowhere on dhhmedspa.com can a patient enter a treatment cost and see what they'd actually pay. That math is the entire sales argument for the membership, and it's missing.
A live calculator on the homepage and on rewards.html — pick a tier, enter a treatment cost, see banked credit, discount and out-of-pocket cost instantly.
A generic "Scottsdale's Premier Med Spa" style headline tells a visitor how to feel about you before telling them what problem you solve. Google and AI assistants read the H1 first. A patient scanning results is asking "which treatment fixes this?" — not looking for a welcome mat.
One H1 phrased as the patient's actual question: "Which treatment gets you the results you're after?" Supporting H2s as more patient questions — exactly as shown on the proposed homepage.
Best Botox in the Valley (AZ Foothills, 2019, 2021, 2022), RealSelf Most Loved Injector (2018, 2019), and Best of Arizona Business are exactly the credentials that separate DHH from a spa that just bought the same equipment. They deserve a permanent, prominent home above the fold, not a mention buried in an About page.
Award callouts in the hero trust line and stats bar, plus a full Medical Director section — see the team section in this preview.
The claim of 350+ five-star reviews is a strong number — but if it's a static text claim rather than a live Google Business Profile connection with Review schema, it can't be verified by a skeptical patient or picked up by AI assistants surfacing trust signals in search results.
Google Business Profile API integration with Review structured data, so the count and rating stay current automatically and are machine-readable for AI Overviews and rich results.
Treatment pages and FAQ structured for "Botox Scottsdale," Emsculpt and weight-loss questions — so Google and AI assistants have answers to quote.
Consistent NAP, hours, services and review integration — Maps and local pack aligned with the website story.
Friction removed at peak intent — branded wizard, reminders, rebooking links in aftercare, no external hand-off.
Live Beauty Bank / Lux calculator turns a vague monthly fee into a visible, provable saving before the patient is asked to commit.
SkinBetter, SkinMedica, Alastin and PCA surfaced on homepage and post-treatment — member discounts applied automatically.
Banked credit that rolls forward makes leaving the membership cost something real — automatic, no punch cards.
Nobody can guarantee a specific Google ranking. What is committed here is executing every factor within your control — technical, content, local and conversion — which the current site leaves largely untouched.
